From popular newspaper column to award-winning reference book
We were fans of naturalist Mary Holland’s excellent column in our local newspaper, and suggested she consider turning them into a book. The result was a fabulously illustrated collection of her knowledge and observations that won the National Outdoor Book Award and inspired an informative blog with a dedicated audience that the author updates to this day.
Putting puzzles together
With hundreds of excellent full-color photographs from the field, unique original artworks, and archives rich with fascinating content, determining how best to present the author’s work so the result would be user-friendly and still comprehensive was a challenge we were up for. Helping books find their flow while respecting the creator’s vision is always our goal.
