A series is born
When Melanie Sue Bowles conceived of her delightful protagonist for her first middle grade novel, she had a feeling there might be more to the story than one book could tell. We were as entranced by the stories as any twelve-year-old.
Considering the audience
In developing a clearly linked series intended for young readers, we helped Melanie pull descriptive characteristics from her text and highlight them in the books’ interiors. The covers shared palette and conceptual themes, and were designed to be seen together on a bookshelf as well as to promote brand recognition for both the series and the author.
